Day 28 - Visit to Margarita Hogar

After her bath. She enjoys this until the lotion time comes around. Then she screams even if you try to warm it up. We finally figured out that the pacifier helps here.

We visited the Hogar - home for the 'mothers-to-be'. Run by Maria Lucia - Mercedez and Arturo' daughter. This is a sobering experience, but highly recommended. It gives one more insight into the very trying conditions that these women face with a very difficult choice in their lives. We will be forever grateful to them for Mira.

They have computers with direct access to the University so that the women can take classes and obtain credits if they choose to do so. This is a remarkable system.

Others may choose to become involved with sewing - they have contracts for uniforms with local hospitals. Here is Maria Lucia taking us on the tour.
