Day 17 - Tour of FANA + Meeting with Flor Rojas for Social History

A sibling pair - they have 2 more siblings that are with them at FANA.

Christina and Flor Rojas, Director of Administration.

Back home that evening with Mira and Alicia. Alicia is a great baby-sitter and has a wonderful way with kids.

The family unites before dinner. I like all the attention I am receiving.

Dinner at Carbon-de-Palo, a steakhouse. Virtually no options for Christina - more variations of potatoes and bananas. Something on the menu piqued our interest - 'Prostrate'. No idea what it is nor did we try to find out. Maybe another new couple will!

Brother and sister in the Green Room. This was the start of our wonderful tour of FANA. We took over 100 photographs! But only a few will make it to the blog site. Joe was impressed with the sheer numbers that FANA has dealt with over the years and the 'families' that have been beautifully recreated on their wall.

Here with Elena Martinez (center), director of FANA, and Marina de Tono.

We had a great time meeting the older children at FANA who have yet to be adopted. They were out at playtime. We returned the following week and had a small party for them (separate pictures on blog). Some of these kids are travelling to Buffalo this week and will hopefully find families soon.

Uncle Joe and the kids. Atleast he was able to talk with them in Spanish.

At the main lobby in FANA.
